Dinosaur Hatching Experiment

The Orchard Class finished up the last of their dinosaur themed projects, they hatched dinosaur eggs. The children created their dinosaur eggs using baking soda and food coloring and hid a dinosaur inside each egg. Then they froze the eggs overnight and the children got to work the next day using goggles and gloves to chip away at the dinosaur eggs. They experimented with vinegar and eye droppers to dissolve the eggs and help the baby dinosaurs hatch. Three baby dinosaurs were hatched in all, a T-Rex, a stegosaurus, and a triceratops. They really enjoyed hatching the eggs.
