Pumpkin Picking at Demarest Farms

We have planned a visit to Demarest Farms in Hillsdale for Friday, October 27th. The trip includes a hayride, pumpkin picking, cider and a donut. The cost is $12.00 per child and includes the cost of the pumpkin, hayride, cider and donuts. There is a $12.00 charge for adults as well. Parents or a caretaker must accompany each child. Grandparents and other family members are invited to share in the fun.

Please bring a large sturdy bag to carry your pumpkins. Ms. Megan Murphy a former Kindergarten Teacher at our school has generously donated 100 bags for our pumpkin picking outing, but you may choose to bring your own sturdy bag if you will be carrying more than one pumpkin. Many thanks to Megan for her generous donation.

We will meet at the farm at 9:30 for all classes, both Morning and Afternoon. Classes will not be held in the P.M. Picnic tables are available at the farm, so we ask parents or caretakers to bring lunch for an outdoor picnic, weather permitting. There is a wonderful deli/fruit stand at the farm, so you may choose to purchase lunch there.

Should we have to cancel due to inclement weather, you will receive an e-mail by 8:00 A.M. you of a change of plans. Also please check our website or facebook for updates. IF YOU HAVE NOT PRE-PAID FOR THE PUMPKIN PICKING TRIP YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET AT DEMAREST FARMS We will hold classes at the regular school hours should it be necessary to cancel.
