We want to thank Julia’s mom, Veronica, for coming to class to share information about Venezuela and the Johnston family heritage. The Kindergarten class finished their study of Asia with a presentation that featured Japan. Here are a few highlights. The children learned that the flag represents the “land of the rising sun” and the landform - archipelago. They had the opportunity to surround the islands of the archipelago with water and learned that the bullet train is used to connect the four major islands. The Kindergarten class began learning about Asia. The children were treated to two celebrations on South Korea. We thank the Cvetanovic family for sharing their Serbian heritage. Vasilije's mom (Millie) came to class to talk about Serbia. Vasilije was born in the USA but, his grandparents are from Serbia. We thank the Gudmann family for sharing their Danish heritage. Karl’s mom (Pernille) and infant brother (Walter) came to class and talked about Denmark.
