Today we took a field trip to the Ridgewood Post Office. Ms. Jaime showed the children how mail is sorted and how packages are scanned. The children were able to practice scanning packages using the scanner. Then Mr. Tom, the mailman, showed the children the inside of his mail truck. It was a beautiful day for a walking trip! Our field trip to the Ridgewood Police Station was a success! Many thanks to Officer Christopher & Officer Amoruso for giving us a tour of the station. The children were shown how criminals are fingerprinted, the bench where they sit handcuffed and the jail they are kept in.
